  • VO59954

The volunteering opportunity is to lead and support CHANGES Cycling for Health Project. The 10-week cycling programmes are run in Musselburgh. The cycle rides last approximately one and a half hours per week and are run in blocks of 10 weeks. The volunteering role is to train as a cycle ride leader and support participants to get back to cycling by improving their cycling skills. There are two ride leaders per four participants and the programme starts with building the participants skills before taking them on risk assessed cycle paths, which occasionally include short stretches of quiet roads. Bicycles and helmets are provided to volunteers and participants if required.
