Description

The NSPCC Schools Service is protecting a generation of children against abuse. One primary school at a time, and we want you to play your part.

As a NSPCC Schools Service volunteer, you'll visit local schools giving assemblies and classroom workshops to 4-11 year olds. You'll talk about their rights, abuse, and bullying and about how to both protect themselves and get help when they need it.

As a Childline Schools Service volunteer, you'll visit local schools giving assemblies and classroom workshops to 9-11 year olds. You'll help them to understand abuse, and give them the confidence and courage to speak out and seek help if they ever need it.

2 days per month (variable timings) but between 9am and 3pm.

Restrictions

Position requires PVG membership.
Experience required: You need to be motivated and committed to protecting children. Available for 2 days per month and able to work alongside others.
Travel details: All East Lothian This is opportunity is accessible by foot, by bus, by car and by train.
Minimum age: 18

Training details: Online training, 2 days face to face training followed by observations/mentoring with others.
