Coffee Morning Volunteer

  • VO59420

You can make a difference to the lives of older people and help them live more independently within the St Mary’s Garden complex.

A few hours a week is all it takes to make a real difference to someone’s life. You will carry out a role that promotes independence, provides companionship and a friendly face to people in need of social interaction.

St Mary’s Garden is a vibrant community of older people who live in a Sheltered Housing complex. The residents like to play an active part in deciding what activities and events they hold as well as encourage and support each other to take part in the organisation of the activities.

The Coffee Morning Befriender will spend time getting to know the residents and creating a friendly atmosphere at the coffee mornings as well as assist the residents with the organisation of the refreshments.
