Description

Volunteers will be given training on how to deliver and facilitate educational workshops that are designed to give people who are on low income or affected by the welfare state the tools to become financially resilient. The volunteers will work closely with the Community Finance Co-ordinator, who will provide them with the training and support needed. They will deliver the education workshops to members of the community with the Community Finance Co-ordinator and build their skills and experience. In time, there may be opportunity for the Volunteers to lead the delivery/facilitation of the workshops, depending on ability.

With new homes, education and health facilities, within an economically sustainable environment, The promotion for the public benefit of urban regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation (in particular within (i) the area of Raploch, Stirlingshire and (ii) any such area out with the Area but within the administrative area of the Council)

A Minimum of 2 hours a week during the morning or the afternoon. There is no set pattern of hours to allow volunteers to help as and when they can.

Restrictions

Travel details: We would look to meet at the Raploch Community Enterprise building and then travel from there to places within the community by the workers car.
Minimum age: 16

Support

Taster available: Yes
Taster details: We can meet with any volunteer for an informal chat/explaining what we do and if needed are welcome to observe the training workshops before helping to deliver.
Training details: Training packs/notes are available for the volunteers to get familiar with the training material. Training workshops for the volunteers will also be available where they will learn, delivery techniques and approaches.
