Coffee Shop Volunteer

  • VO59082

Description

An opportunity to work within a fascinating environment providing hot drinks and snacks (crisps, biscuits etc). The coffee bar provides a much needed service to both members of the public and professionals within the court building.

This is a new venture for Victim Support Scotland based within Jedburgh Sheriff Court where our Witness Service volunteers currently provide a service to witnesses attending court. It is envisaged that the coffee bar would eventually be open on all days however at the moment this would perhaps be two or three days per week. Cover would be provided on a rota basis. As no cooking would be undertaken no certificates in relation to food hygiene etc would be required.

Organisation aims and objectives

To provide emotional and practical support to victims of crime and antisocial behaviour throughout the Scottish Borders. Information on Criminal Justice System, Remote Reporting, Criminal Injuries Compensation and signposting to other agencies.
