We are looking for people to work with our staff helping out and working alongside our young people. We need people in the kitchen helping with washing dishes and very simple food preparation.

Here at Hawick Community Cafe our aim is to offer protected and related work placements to young people who, for whatever reason, are struggling to find employment. They will have the opportunity to work towards gaining SVQ Hospitality and Food Hygiene qualifications which could help them gain future employment. The young people will be taught a range of skills which will increase their confidence. It will give them experience of working in a catering establishment and enable them to see something of the dedication and commitment that is required in the working environment. Our staff work alongside a team of dedicated volunteers who help out with everything from serving coffee to washing dishes. The volunteers who are with us work hard at providing every customer with a professional and friendly service and enjoy working with and assisting our young people.
