Lead Online - Learning Support

  • VO57506
  • Home-based volunteering

Working either on a 1-2-1 basis or in a small group, Lead's Learning Co-ordinator, with the assistance of volunteers, will deliver online skills to those deemed most at risk of digital exclusion and identifying themselves as disabled, disadvantaged or a carer. Volunteers will help learners access learning opportunities with online media such as emails and online shopping. We adapt and respond to learners needs so this opportunity is a varied role and any skills you may have would be welcome.

Organisation aims and objectives

Digital skills project in Perth and Kinross, initially taking referrals from the Perth City, North Perth, Blairgowrie and Rattray. We also use volunteers and would welcome contact from individual learners, organisations or volunteers for more information on the project. The project is called Lead Online and is in Partnership with Perth and Kinross Council and Lead Scotland. Computer skills are fast becoming an essential tool in todays world and we aim to get as many disabled learners, learners affected by a disadvantage and/or carers online and joining in with our digital world.
