Description

Sales of furniture and home goods to the general public from our shop in Hawick. To be part of an expanding social enterprise working within a small happy team to help people on low incomes.

Home Basics reuses donated items of furniture, white goods, electrical items and furnishings and sells them at reduced cost to those in need. Surplus is sold to the general public to support the charity. Following a change in premises we now require sales staff to work directly with the general public Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm.

Organisation aims and objectives

Home Basics takes in donated furniture, household and electrical items for re-sale inexpensively to those on low incomes living in the Scottish Borders. Special discounts are given to those referred by local agencies. We also promote the general principle of recycling and re-use.
