Description

To assist in the provision of a trolley shop service within a hospital or health care centre environment, offering refreshments, reading material and engaging socially with patients.

KEY TASKS MAY INCLUDE:
-Offering refreshments and reading materials
-Cash handling and reconciliation
-Stock replenishment and rotation
-Acting as a friendly point of contact for customers

Every day Royal Voluntary Service helps thousands of older people to live the life they want. We provide practical services in homes, in hospitals and in communities all across the country so people can be independent and active. Royal Voluntary Service is one of the largest voluntary organisations and much of our work is supporting older people. We provide practical solutions to the everyday problems of loneliness and isolation.

Experience required: -Friendly and good communication skills -Confidentiality -Team work -Non-judgemental attitude -Ability to work within Royal Voluntary Service guidelines
Travel details: Within your local community hospital/health care centre. Opportunities available throughout the Aberdeen city area in NHS Grampian Hospitals – Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Woodend Hospital, The Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, The Aberdeen Maternity Hospital, Cornhill Hospital and Woolmanhill Hospital.
Minimum age: 16

Expenses details: Relevant out of pocket expenses e.g.: bus fares, car mileage are re-imbursed at the rate stated in the RVS expenses policy
Training details: Good support and training is provided including RVS Induction and on-going support.
