Description

General duties include:
Offering general administration support / Brainstorming fundraising ideas / making telephone calls to businesses, volunteers and supporters / Helping with the admin and organisation of fundraising events and promotions.

The British Red Cross helps people in crisis whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.\r\n\r\nWe enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives

Restrictions

Experience required: Enthusiasm, Organisational skills, Basic computer skills, ability to work independently, good interpersonal skills, diplomacy, communication and team work skills.
Travel details: The position is based in the main office in Lerwick. Volunteers must be willing to travel to events accross the islands and to undertake training and fundraising at our Inverness headquarters and further afield in the UK.
Minimum age: 15

Expenses details: Travel expenses and any outward travel and accommodation costs which are needed in order to attend events/promotions - including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Training details: Full induction training provided. Career development oppotunities to further there skills in this area. Supported by Services Manager.
