At SSAFA our volunteers are at the heart of our work supporting the Forces family.
Our volunteers provide help for current Forces and veterans in local communities throughout the UK and on military bases around the world. Their work ranges from practical and emotional help to fundraising, publicity and project co-ordination.
You can give as little or as much of your time as you can when you volunteer. From visiting a veteran who needs assistance to offering a listening ear during operational deployments, it’s all vital work.
All help makes a real difference and is greatly appreciated. For more details please contact:

SSAFA is a national charity helping and supporting those who serve in our Armed Forces, those who used to serve and families of both. One day’s paid service in any of our Armed Forces is all that is needed to qualify for assistance from SSAFA. Our network of branches provided support to veterans and the Armed Forces community. Currently SSAFA has 92 branches and 65 service committees worldwide.
