ADA-Alcohol & Drugs Action have opportunities for Creative Group Volunteers to support people who require this service in their recovery journey. Do you have a creative skill that you can share with our service users? We are looking for people with skills and knowledge in all areas of the arts who can help us to devise and deliver creative groups and sessions or one-to –one tutoring in all of our Aberdeen services. Anything from creative writing to crochet, upholstery to cake decorating we are welcome to any suggestions. As well as Creative Group Volunteers we also have a range of other volunteer opportunities such as Volunteer Buddies, Volunteer Complementary Therapists, Mini Bus Driver, Volunteer Gardener and Volunteer Music Group Assistant. FRIDAY YOUTHWORK TEAM – VOLUNTEERING This opportunity is for vibrant people who enjoy all that is involved with working with young people of various backgrounds. The Ayr Ark is open to young people on Friday evenings from 6:30-9:00pm. Volunteers are required to help from 6:00pm-9:15pm, this will involve both set up and pack down. Some of the responsibilities include, handling money and use of our till, serving drinks and snacks at the bar, engaging with young people through conversation and/or games, and being a role model to our young people. Volunteer roles are rotated to different areas within the building throughout the night, to allow you to gain more skills and qualities. One of our volunteers, started coming to the Ayr Ark at the age of 13 and went on to become a part of our volunteer group. Erin recently left us to start UNI but when asked about her experience as a volunteer she said: “I’ve made friends for life here and gained skills and real life experience I never thought possible, and it helped me grow as a person” – Erin Cran, Volunteer.

Are you care experienced yourself or working towards a career in social care? Do you want to gain valuable experience, make a positive change, be part of a likeminded community all whilst having fun? We would love to hear from you! No experience necessary - just an open mind, kindness and compassion! Our service matches volunteer mentors to young people aged between 8-14years who are on the edge of care, in a kinship arrangement or on a CSO. Our mentees are looking for a person to build and grow a positive relationship, try new activities, tackle isolation, build confidence and have fun in the community! We provide in person training, ongoing support and a community of mentors who are there to share experiences. We are there to support you every step of the way! Our service covers all of Glasgow and North Lanarkshire, having a car is desirable but not essential. *This role requires 2 days of training in house and subject to PVG check*

Fresh Community Wellness is a growing grassroots charity, registered Scottish Charity Number, SC051346. We operate out of Aberdeen city, working within a (S.I.M.D) high neighbourhood to create lasting change and build a legacy for the future. Predominantly in Seaton neighbourhoods and outdoors, we work with volunteers/residents, with a salutogenic approach to community wellness. To help with this we have great opportunities and need people to help out as volunteers for a range of roles including: *Food growing, gardeners, greenspace management, tidy ups volunteers. *Mentors, community engagement, events, entertainers (kids, adults, 55+). *Outdoors games & sports volunteers, building outdoor areas for residents (sheltered housing seating), health. *Artists/ Sculptors to begin on our Street Art & Design projects, and sculptures. *Admin, coordinators, team lead volunteers, advisors & support volunteers. *Drop-in café helpers, advisors, cooking assistants.
