Description

ADA-Alcohol & Drugs Action have opportunities for Volunteer Gardeners. We are looking for a keen gardener to volunteer in our Timmer Market premises to help maintain our small garden area. We would be particularly interested in anyone that can maximize the potential of the garden and maintain it on a regular basis.

As well as Volunteer Gardeners we also have a range of other volunteer opportunities such as Volunteer Complementary Therapists, Creative Group Volunteers, Mini Bus Driver, Volunteer Buddies and Volunteer Music Group Assistant.

Organisation aims and objectives

ADA provides a range of drug and alcohol services . The overall aim of ADA is to reduce the harm associated with drug and alcohol use to the individual, the family and the community and to support community based recovery. Interventions range from advice and information regarding 'safer' drug/alcohol use through to intensive work . A range of services is also available to family members from information and advice through to intensive one to one counselling.

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Public transport of all day ticket will be reimbursed upon production of valid ticket for the day of volunteering.
Training details: Good support and relevant training is provided to all volunteers. Includes two hour Induction course, on-going support and supervision.
