Description

The Salvation Army opened this project in June 2010 to help the needs of those who were struggling to get furniture when they received keys to accommodation. Once the project got started the council were keen to be part of the project as they seen the benefits for there clients and also potential of the project helping them to sustain there tenancy.

This project is seen by the Salvation Army as an extention of the work that is carried out at the hall in Drip Rd and to give support to the surrounding community's and those who are finding times hard or are intrested in recycling and the reuse of good furniture which other wise would have end in the landfill and would not be helping the enviroment.

Through the support of Stirling Council we now collect at the landfill site and up to date have saved some twenty five tonnes from going into landfill.
