The Primrose Community Trust are looking for youth work volunteers (16+) to help at various sessions for young people in Crossgates in Fife. The sessions would involve setting up, taking part in the sessions, and encouraging young people to be active participants, tidying up, taking part in the evaluation at the end of sessions. The sessions will be working with the youth work team and will be on a rota basis, so will not have to volunteer every week if this is not manageable. Junior Youth club drop-in: Monday 5.45-8pm (8-12yrs) Lego Club sessions: Tuesday 3-5pm (7-12yrs) Senior Youth Club drop-in: Fridays 6-8.15 pm (12-15yrs)

Connect Alloa is a local youth charity tackling social isolation and loneliness among young people in Clackmannanshire. They host regular youth group sessions where they play games, chat and get creative! Their group is open to any young person aged between Primary 6 up to S6. This opportunity is suitable for Saltire Awards. Connect would have their volunteers taking part in the different activities that they run like arts and crafts, board games, video games, sports, team building, wellbeing, and much more! Volunteers would help with managing the young people, tidying up and general daily tasks.

PURPOSE AND AIMS OF THE ROLE: They are looking for volunteers who can provide a strong foundation to help strengthen their communities by helping Care Experienced children and young people engage in activities to build their skills and confidence and to be included, understood, respected, and valued in their communities. The Youth Work Support Volunteer role will work alongside their innovative and energetic Clackmannanshire project team, supporting to raise awareness of Care Experience and supporting activities for young people, providing supportive adults to ensure all children and young people can thrive, bringing communities together. This role will involve interacting with young people aged 5-17 through supporting and leading on a variety of activities e.g. arts/crafts/sports/general youth work at the weekly/fortnightly sessions as well as at their National events that happen throughout the year (Participation). This role will help build community strengths for Care Experienced people and provide social networks to help build resilience and positive outcomes for children and young people. Who Cares?
