Support Volunteers

Muirhead Outreach Project offers services to children and young people who are experiencing difficulties within their home, school or community. They have various health, behavioural and social needs. We support children and their families who come from areas of multiple deprivation and have a degree of family dysfunction and vulnerability. Some of the children we work with are diagnosed with various conditions e.g autism, ADHD, ODD and mental health problems. To meet the needs of our service users, we run evening groups, school holiday activities, parent groups and 1-1 befriending.

Organisation aims and objectives

At the Muirhead Outreach Project our mission is to keep families together in their communities through challenging times. By providing early interventions (through 1-2-1 support and group work) we want to reduce the need for children to have to spend time in residential care.
