Volunteer Minibus Driver

  • VO47654

Description

Fife Boomerang is a mental health charity based in Glenrothes. They have their own mini bus which holds up to 13 people who are taken on various activities twice weekly. There is a choice of outings which could be anything from the cinema to a museum or an afternoon visit to maybe Pitlochry, Jedburgh, Edinburgh, Glasgow etc. We also fit in a few shows a year.
They hope to reduce isolation, encourage socialisation and improve confidence in their members.
Members are all independent and for outings and there is always a volunteer on the bus with the driver.

There is no requirement for volunteers to pay entry fees for these visits whilst they are volunteering.
It would be great if drivers have a D1 on their drivers license if possible but not essential. A PVG check will also be required for this role.

If you have some spare time why not join us on our journey? Fife Boomerang is all about bouncing back to life!
