(Stornoway) Shop volunteer

  • VO46771

Save the Children has had a branch in Lewis since 1965 and a shop since 1984. At present we have approximately 50 volunteers who support the shop and branch.
We have a happy working atmosphere in the shop. Volunteers serve the public, sort out clothing, iron and help at outside fundraising events eg coffee mornings, soup lunches etc. If you have people skills and a sense of humour, this is the job for you.

Organisation aims and objectives

The charity aims to provide children with a safe environment, health, education, protection in war. We are the largest international children's agency, but work in the UK as well as overseas. We campaign to protect children against dangerous and exploitative work and during emergencies provide relief on a continuing basis. We are independent, non-political and non-denominational, putting children at the heart of everything we do.
