Volunteer Education Presenters - Aberdeen

  • VO44452

Description

Would you like to be part of a happy band of volunteers that are helping to save lives at sea without even getting wet!! Could you respond to a call to action from a local school, youth group or event in your community and deliver messages about the work of the RNLI and staying safe near water to groups of eager children?

Volunteering as part of the RNLI’s Education Team in Aberdeen is an important role within the charity as we aim to save the lives of young people through our fantastic education programme. A message given today could be a life saved tomorrow.

Your role would be to engage with young people to deliver our vital water safety messages alongside promoting the work of the RNLI.

Just as we give all our Lifeboat crews the right training and equipment to carry out their lifesaving work, we provide Education Volunteers with all the necessary training and support to carry out their role. Education volunteers have access to a range of online learning materials, as well as opportunities for one to one support from fellow volunteers and RNLI education specialists.

As an Education volunteer you will have the opportunity to meet lots of new people and develop your skills in talking to young people.

After their first mission as Education Presenters our volunteers often say; ‘I feel like I am performing an important public service and its good to be a part of that’.

Please join us in making a difference to the safety of young people.
