Description

British Heart Foundation is looking for volunteers to join our shop teams, volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation as well as contributing to a worthwhile cause. Volunteering is something practical you can do to help fight heart disease the UK's biggest killer. You will make new friends, learn new skills and have opportunities to develop within the British Heart Foundation, the shop manager will support you in your training and for your contribution you will also receive a 25% discount.

Organisation aims and objectives

The aim of the British Heart Foundation is to play a leading role in the fight against heart disease the British Heart Foundation aims to do this through research, education and care, funding medical research, providing support and information, and also providing life saving equipment for hospitals and funding British Heart Foundation nurses.

Restrictions

Experience required: No experience required but you will enjoy working as part of a team, meeting people, have an interest in retail of furniture and electrical and like working in a busy environment.
Travel details: You will be based at 50 Titchfield Street Kilmarnock KA1 1PH, it is situated on the main bus and train routes. If you require more detailed travel information please contact the Manager on 01563 559680.

Support

Expenses details: We pay public transport costs and mileage at 20p a mile after working 3 hours.
Training details: All volunteers are required to complete a training programme consisting of 4 modules on British Heart Foundation, Health and Safety, Security and the Disability act, the training will be supported by the manager and is taken at the volunteers pace.
