Charity Shop Volunteer Recruiter (Dunbar)

The role includes:

  • To liase with the shop manager and regional support manager around the recruitment and retention needs of the shop.
  • To support the shop manager on interviewing prospective volunteers in line with CHSS procedures.
    *To use local knowledge and contracts to promote volunteering opportunities for the shop. For example using publicity material in local areas such as Health Centres, community centres and dentists etc.
    *To contact job centres, training agencies etc for potential volunteers or trainees.
  • To promote one volunteer recruitment day in the shop per annum with the support of the manager.
  • To contribute to the shops 6 month recruitment plan.
  • To assist with training and induction of new volunteers as required.
  • To liase with the Volunteer development manager and retail operations manager about any volunteering issues.

We want to make sure life living with a chest or heart condition or after a stroke is a life lived to the full. We will fight for better health for everyone and work to make sure there is help and support in every community.
