We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

Our Vision at NBYP is to work with young people to create an environment where they are given responsibility and the opportunity to make positive change in their lives and communities. We enjoy working with partner organisations such as the local high school and Coastal communities museum. Projects volunteers can support include drop–in sessions, cookery group, YOUth Culture Project, ZAP group and other events such as fundraisers. Gain Saltire / Dynamic Youth Awards.

The Project is open :
Tuesday 4pm – 7pm
Wednesday 4.30pm – 6pm
Thursday 6pm – 8pm
Friday 12.30pm – 6pm.

Times can be variable throughout the year as we give young people the opportunity to choose opening times.

Organisation aims and objectives

We run a youth facility in North Berwick providing an environment which will help inform young people about life issues, e.g. drugs, alcohol, relationships. To encourage the young peoples integration into their community through positive promotion and joint working with other organisations. We also run the ZAP Group, a weekly youth club for young people with additional support needs from East Lothian. Open to young people aged P7 to 18 years.

Timings can be from as little as one hour to a full 5 hour session, this can be discussed with potential volunteers.
