Opportunities include leading health walks, seated exercise, new age kurling and various other sports or if volunteers prefer they can be involved behind the scenes helping to create our newsletter or support promotional events. As well as the promotion of physical activity, the project also takes a holistic approach to health by addressing issues such as nutrition, mental health, social isolation, safety and life circumstances. Volunteering with Ageing Well gives you the opportunity to explore all these topics and decide for yourself where your interests lie and further training and advice will be given to support you as you help others to lead a more healthy and active lifestyle. It is also a great opportunity to meet new people, try new activities and improve your own health.
