MS support teams aim to empower people affected by MS through giving information about MS, emotional support and facilitating access to available services and support.
As an MS support volunteer: telephone contact you will assist greatly in this work through helping with tasks such as:
•regularly contact members of the branch
•provide emotional support (a listening ear) to people you speak to
•provide information and updates about branch activities
•arrange for information to be sent if requested/appropriate
•identify any problem areas for the individual or family and refer to the lead support volunteer.
Full training and support is provided to all volunteers. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in supporting people affected by MS and all volunteers are greatly appreciated.

Travel details: Aberdeen HQ is based in Long Walk Road, Northfield, Aberdeen. Opportunities available across Aberdeen City.

Expenses details: Agreed out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed as per our policy. We reimburse public transport rates upon receipt of travel tickets and car mileage if own car used.
Training details: Full training and good support is provided to all volunteers. Includes induction pack and toolkit, support provided by the lead support volunteer and four sessions of training programme.
