Description

Volunteer Centre Borders' vision is to be recognised as the first point of contact for volunteering advice, information and opportunities and to provide guidance and support to enable best practice in volunteering in the Scottish Borders. To help us achieve this vision we are currently recruiting for new Board Members. We already have a broad range of skills on our board but if you have a passion for volunteering, a knowledge of the third sector, management and strategic expertise we would be very interested in speaking to you. This is an opportunity to help shape the development of an organisation that is playing a significant part in addressing social isolation, inactivity and inequality across the Scottish Borders as well as contributing to sporting and cultural pursuits. It is also an opportunity to develop your skills in areas such as leadership and governance.

Restrictions

Experience required: One or more of the following: Sound business Background (Statutory, Private or Third Sector) Knowledge of Third Sector Marketing and Media, IT, Finance, Human Resources, Legal
Travel details: Meetings are now held virtually due to Covid-19, bi-monthly. They usually last two hours and we are looking at varying the time of day of meetings to ensure convenience for board members.
