Making refreshments for adults and snacks for kids

  • VO40731

This opportunity is to help at a group for families who have children with rare, complex, special or additional needs. BANG has monthly meetings where parent/carers have a rare chance to get together, discuss issues or problems and get support and possible solutions. It also gives parent/carers of special needs children some much needed time out from day to day life.

The volunteer would make teas and coffees for the parent/carers giving parent/carers a chance to meet. They would also prepare the snack provided for the childrena and help to ensure the children are seated and get some snack.

Organisation aims and objectives

We do this by holding monthly meetings for families so children can play and parent/carers can have some much needed time out. We provide regular trips and days out for the whole family so families who find it difficult or who do not have the means to have a trip can come along at no charge.
