Tweeddale Thrift Shop Volunteer

  • VO40227

Our Thrift Shop is a social enterprise which is staffed by a manager and a dedicated team of volunteers, the funds raised from the sale of donated clothes, bric-a-brac, books and toys provide additional income towards various local projects and so ultimately money is ploughed back into the community we serve.
One example of this is the community transport service, run by The Bridge which takes disabled and vulnerable people to social events and medical appointments.

Volunteers are a vital member of our team and their duties will be involve displaying merchandise, serving customers and managing stock. The shop opens Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm, but the hours worked can be tailored to suit the volunteer and full training will be given. All volunteers receive 20% discount off any purchases.
