Work with other leaders to deliver Guide meetings in accordance with the Guide Programme. Keep confidential records on a central database and up to date unit accounts.

Organisation aims and objectives

Girlguiging Orkney as part of a world-wide movement, enables girls and young women to fulfil their potential to take an active role in society through its distinctive and enjoyable programme of activities delivered by trained volunteers. Wherever you are in Orkney there will be a unit not too far away. Please visit the website for more information on local Guides, Brownies and Rainbow units.

Experience required: Previous knowledge of guiding would be helpful but not necessary.
Minimum age: 18


Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Generally unit leaders do not claim travelling expenses but would claim back materials from unit funds
Taster available: Yes
Training details: All new leaders work through Girlguiding UKs Adult Leadership Qualification with mentor support.
