Befriender (Stranraer)

We are looking for responsible adults from all walks of life, to befriend a local young person aged 8-18 years.
After training, you will be matched up with a young person who would benefit from your regular attention. You will arrange to meet each week, out with school hours and take part in an activity which could be anything from a walk along the shore, a visit to the library, a kick about in the park, a drink of juice at a cafe or even (as a treat) something altogether more adventurous like a day out horse riding! (All expenses are reimbursed)
This volunteering opportunity is a chance to learn new skills, meet other befrienders and an excuse to have some fun with a youngster who may otherwise not have a lot of fun in their life.
