Victim Support volunteers are offered full training and support to act as part of a team, offering home-visiting, appointment and telephone support to people affected by crime. Volunteers will work in the local community. Victim Support has a very flexible attitude to volunteers' availability.
Victim Support Scotland is the lead voluntary organisation in Scotland helping people affected by crime. It provides emotional support, practical help and essential information to victims, witnesses and others affected by crime. The service is free, confidential and is provided by volunteers through a network of community based victim and youth justice services and court based witness services.
Experience required: Life experience, open-minded, non-judgemental, enthusiastic.
Travel details: Training is held outwith the region. Travel expenses are available for both training and follow-up work. Transport can be arranged if necessary.

Training details: 10 week course/one evening per week. 3 month probation period. Selection interview for course after application pack. Peer group support and further ongoing training.
