Description

The class meets one morning a week and consists of approx. 6 people. In the past, the group have made trays and cards but are now interested in attempting other activities such as: working with clay; finger painting etc. This is an opportunity for someone with artistic flair.

Organisation aims and objectives

Dundee Blind and Partially Sighted Society is working towards a world where all people who are visually impaired, enjoy the same rights, opportunities and responsibilities as everyone else. DBPSS aims to contribute to this vision by providing a range of statutory and non-statutory services, to visually impaired children, adults and their carers, who reside within the City of Dundee.

Restrictions

Experience required: Ability to organise a group, enthusiasm, good communication skills.
Travel details: 10/12 Ward Road, Dundee
Minimum age: 18

Support

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: We reimburse volunteers for public transport or at a mileage rate of 26.3p per mile. Expenses are paid at the end of every month, unless otherwise arranged.
Training details: Volunteers undergo in-house visual awareness training & additional task related training if required, with 6-monthly support & supervision sessions.
