Description

Action for Children would like to offer suitable candidates a diversity of opportunities. We are looking for enthusiastic people who have a real interest in the wellbeing of vulnerable young people and families. There are opportunities for mentors, advocates, one to one work, groupwork and befriending.

2 to 3 hours per week with a min commitment of 6 months post training.The 12 session training programme commences in September. Applications accepted from July onwards & formal interviews iin August.Flexible

Restrictions

All volunteers must undergo an Enhanced Disclosure check.
Experience required: Experience working with vulnerable groups would be an advantage. However training will be provided to the suitable applicants who are willing to offer a commitment.
Travel details: At Action for Children Projects throughout Dundee.
Minimum age: 18

Expenses details: All reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
Training details: We provide a variety of training packages to suit the choice of the volunteer. We have internal core training that includes Equality and Diversity & Child Protection.We have also recently purchased specialist Mentoring training.
