You will be there to watch, listen and work with staff members. You will be involved in a wide variety of activities such as: singing, dancing, playing games, dicussion groups, reminiscence, helping with crafts, baking, gardening, walking, trips, dining duties, toileting, talking, listening, laughing. You may also be asked to set the table, make cups of tea, wash dishes, tidy up or escort a client from their day care home. At times it may seem as though you are doing nothing, but simply holding someone's hand or sitting listening with one of the members will be one of your most valuable contributions. Training & expenses are given to all volunteers.
