Then we have the role for you!!! Sue Ryder Charity Shops raise millions of pounds each year to enable our charity to deliver hospice and neurological care for more conditions than any other UK charity. As a volunteer in our shop, not only would you be meeting new friends, gaining skills and experience, but you'd also be directly supporting us to care for people when they really need it. Our shops sell clothes, shoes and accessories, plus an amazing range of interesting bric-a-brac, and vintage items-so whatever you're interested in, we've got it! Sue Ryder shops really needs help whenever you can give it-as little or as much as you like. Good support provided to all volunteers. Including to shadow a confident volunteer, be able to take their time if need be when learning, ask as many questions and will have an informal chat with the volunteer co-ordinator at any point. Volunteers required for charity shop located in Kilmarnock town centre. Retail position, displaying goods for sale, sorting out donations, serving customers.

We have a variety of roles including, sorting donations, front of house operating the till, steaming garments, washing bric-a-brac, stocking shelves, window dressing, and assisting customers. We have a variety of volunteers from all walks of life, and both male & female, it’s a great way to meet new people, socialise, make new friends, and get out of the house for a few hours. You might just also find yourself some great bargains!

There’s a lot to do in our charity shops and something to suit most tastes and interests. For example you may enjoy helping people to choose something for a special occasion; have a good eye for selecting items to go on sale in the shop; or you may like to try your hand at window displays; perhaps you would like to price goods or prepare them for display or you may even be a dab hand with backroom shop work.
