Sessional Volunteer Care Workers

  • VO36375

Description

Successful candidates will be paired 1:1 or 2:1 with a child/young person with an Autism Spectrum Condition.
Volunteer Care Workers will actively engage with the children and young people attending the playscheme to participate in indoor and outdoor activities, encourage friendships, develop social skills, use imaginative play and enable them to enjoy new experiences. Volunteers will be required to ensure that the young person in their care is safe at all times. Volunteers will also write daily positive and sensitive diaries to parents about the child’s day.
Be aware that playscheme is very active and fast moving so having plenty of energy is a must!
