Driver

Description

To collect from their homes, and then return, a number of people with dementia and memory loss. Most of the passengers would be in Stirling but there could also be the chance of longer runs to the rural area of Stirling. You would need to be available to bring people into the city centre at around 12.30p.m. and collect them at around 4p.m. We operate out of Stirling Baptist Church on a Monday and Thursday. You would not need to be available on both days or even every week. This is a role which the other drivers find very rewarding and pleasurable.

Organisation aims and objectives

We support people throughout the Stirling Council Area who have early-moderate stage dementia to stay connected to their communities by offering a variety of support services. We run Day Clubs, Friendship groups and a Befriending service. We rely on kind hearted volunteers to help our small staff base to run the service. We have a variety of volunteering opportunities which are both enjoyable and rewarding.
