Aberdeen Arts Centre operates a snack/cafe bar which is at the heart of all the Centres activities. All of the visitors, drama groups and musicians visit the cafe, as well as visiting companies, exhibitors and guests. This is a busy and exciting area of the Arts Centre.
Volunteers are required to assist in the cafe bar which operates before and during evening performances, and as and when required.
Volunteers serve non-alcoholic refreshments, clear tables, wash dishes and deal with money. The cafe bar is also often the venue for small musical concerts during special promotional events. The cafe bar is a busy and exciting area of the centre.
Volunteers are provided with good support, given a tour of the building and can attend any shows for free. The Centre is a recipient of the Queens Award for Voluntary Service and Volunteer Friendly Awards in recognition of the great support it provides to volunteers and the community.
