EDAP require members who could assist with some of the work which will be required to ensure that all projects are carried out well.
It doesn’t mean that you need to commit huge amounts of time – you could just volunteer in an area that is of interest to you. You could give as much or as little of your time as you are able and you would not be put under pressure to take on anything we weren’t comfortable with.
EDAP aim to make East Dunbartonshire accessible to all by removing the barriers that obstruct people, allowing them to lead a full and active life. Local groups of volunteers, including disabled people, carers and people with a genuine interest in access who work for better access for disabled people in their local community.
Children under the age of 16 will require to be accompanied by a parent/carer
Experience required: The person doesn’t have to be disabled or have any knowledge of disability as information will be provided for any volunteers.
Travel details: EDAP meet in Kirkintilloch once a month but there may be opportunities to raise awareness of disability at a number of events i.e. gala days, canal festival
