Description

We are looking for volunteers to provide administration support to our generalist and specialist advisers as well as our support staff. The support required is varied and can consist of tasks such as printing and scanning documents, covering reception during breaks, answering the phone, operating and maintaining our email procedures and updating case records. Depending on interest and aptitude, there are opportunities for designing posters and advertising materials, writing reports, taking minutes and other ad hoc tasks. The number of positions will depend on the availability of the volunteers. We are looking to cover a total of 35 hours per week but this will be distributed amongst two or three volunteers.

Experience required: Experience in office administration is a help as is computer literacy. However full training in systems and procedures will be provided.

Support

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: We reimburse for public transport on production of appropriate tickets and pay 22p per mile to a maximum of £10 per volunteering session.
Training details: Volunteers undergo an induction where they are introduced to the bureau. This consists of discussion and the completion of a training module. They will be trained on the job in all processes and tasks relating to the office procedures.
