Description

Join us at Airdrie CAB, be part of our team that supports our local community. We offer tailored workshops, specialised support, such as improving digital or communication skills, be involved in external events also shadow an experienced Adviser to build on your interview skills. You will be fully supported to be the best version of yourself.
Meet new people who are also wanting to learn something new and are ready for a challenge. We will provide all the training via tutor sessions and online support. There will be regular opportunity to shadow your mentor within the bureau when they are seeing clients, this is an opportunity to improve your knowledge on a wide range of topic's. We regularly attend external events and you will get the chance to participate in these. There is the chance to specialise if you find a subject particularly interesting, further training is recommended and fully supported. We have a social outing every 2 months which is a chance to catch up with all your colleagues in a relaxed and informal setting. We ask for Volunteers to give 6 hours per week volunteering in the bureau once the training has been completed. We are very flexible, it is essential that our Volunteers enjoy the experience of Volunteering. Everyone has different needs and we pride ourselves in treating everyone as an individual. Airdrie Citizens Advice bureau is an independent charity. Our service is free, independent, impartial and confidential. We are based in Airdrie town centre and operate outreach advice sessions at various locations both in and out the town. The bureau seek

Travel details: The training and shadowing will take place in Airdrie Citizens Advice. External events take place within the community, it may be the library, supermarkets or community centres. Travel costs to get to the bureau for training, shadowing or if you are participating in an external event are all covered by the bureau, an expense sheet will be completed.

Expenses details: All trainees will be reimbursed for any travel costs incurred at public travel rates.

Taster details: Tasters can be provided as and when appropriate.
Training details: Full Advisors Training course available lasting 12-weeks. Also, opportunities to become involved in SVQ training in Administration Levels II and III and Advice Level III
