Description

We are recruiting enthusiastic volunteers to give a little of their time to act as ‘Teaching Patients’ to assist Medical Students improve their examination skills.

Volunteer Patients are members of the public who assist in the Practice and Learning Sessions by being available to be examined by Medical Students e.g.: different types of non-invasive procedures/examinations such as the taking of a blood pressure, listening to a patient’s lungs etc. Volunteer Patients are also sometimes used during Students Degree examinations.

There is no prior training or experience necessary to be selected to join the Programme. All we ask is that a Volunteer Patient be reliable and any training will be provided by us.
If you require travelling expenses, we reimburse. You are provided with coffee, tea and biscuits before each session and a full lunch where relevant. We provide a friendly atmosphere where there are opportunities to meet new people and other volunteers.
