Various roles required: Presenter, Broadcast Assistant, Producer, Technician, Audio engineer, Producer, Voice over artist, Schools trainer, Youth group assistant, Fundraiser, Supervisor, Newsreader, Music librarian, Buddy/ Mentor plus many many more...
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the station and are involved in every aspect of broadcasting. All content is produced and presented by local people and full training and support is provided for every role.
The core aims of CamGlen Radio are: To improve local employability by building individuals’ confidence, skills and work experience by providing a wide range of informal training opportunities linked with the many volunteering roles that exist within the station; To serve the needs, interests and tastes of local people by providing a localised radio service that is responsive to listeners and the community; To broadcast health related and other topic based speech orientated programmes; To provide a platform for discussion about local issues that are important and relevant for local people – to give local people a voice; To be a platform for local artists & performance groups to showcase their work; To provide cost effective advertising and sponsorship options for local businesses. We only recruit volunteers who live in Rutherglen or Cambuslang areas. Code: CRV

Healthy n Happy is a community development trust and our key purpose is to provide community members in Cambuslang and Rutherglen with the opportunity to take an active part in improving their lives and in ensuring their own, their family, and their community’s current and future health and wellbeing.

Restrictions

Residents of Cambuslang & Rutherglen take Priority over applicants outside of the Area. This is because we are funded to deliver to the communities within the Cambuslang & Rutherglen area.
Experience required: NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! All you need is to be interested, enthusiastic and have some time you can commit – we will provide all of the training and support you need to get where you want to go!
Travel details: Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust, Aspire Building, 16 Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen, G73 1DL. We only recruit volunteers who live in Rutherglen or Cambuslang areas.

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: We pay public transport rates and/or reimburse volunteers mileage at 45p per mile.
Training details: Full induction training for Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust and CamGlen Radio as well as on-going training for every aspect of the Roles. Training is provided on both Adhoc and structured basis.
