Description

We are looking for volunteers to assist in times of personal and community crisis. This may take the form of making food and drinks in a community hall or being trained in the use of community defibrillators.

Organisation aims and objectives

The British Red Cross helps people in crisis whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.\r\n\r\nWe enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives

Restrictions

Volunteers need to be fit enough to render first aid to injured members of the public, wherever they may be.
Experience required: Ability to learn first aid, become a good team member, and help those in need.
Travel details: Yell, Fair Isle, Fetlar, Foula and Bressay
Minimum age: 16
