Description

Perth Branch of Samaritans depend upon grants, donations and legacy contributions to maintain this valuable service. We require a support volunteer who will work with the Chair-Team to identify fundraising opportunities, complete grant applications and maintain appropriate records.

Organisation aims and objectives

To be available 24 hrs a day to provide confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or dispair, including those which may lead to suicide. To help create a stronger less isolated society in which fewer people die by suicide, people are able to explore their feelings and to acknowledge and respect the feelings of others.

Restrictions

Experience required: Knowledge of fundraising and or marketing in the charity sector desirable. However someone with good communication skills are more important. The ability to research opportunities for fundraising,then complete the necessary paperwork when identified is es
