Description

To cover all aspects of a busy community cafe working alongside cafe supervisor, cook and service users attending the centre. Duties include taking orders from cafe customers, serving and clearing tables, loading/unloading dishwashed, supporting staff with some of the food preparation, tidying cafe area and other aspects of working in a cafe environment.

To provide a safe and secure environment which gives opportunities for individuals to learn new skills and explore relationships within a structured system of programmes.

Restrictions

Experience required: Friendly individual with good communication skills / interest in cooking and customer service. Training provided for this role.
Travel details: Situated in Kilbirnie close to the Health Centre and Social Work Department. There are bus services to Kilbirnie and train services to Glengarnock Station.
Minimum age: 20

Support

Training details: Volunteers will cover induction for cafe with catering supervisor and will have supervision on a regular basis They will be given the opportunity to have Elementary Food Hygiene training and will be included on other relevant training as and when require.
