We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

  • VO29944

Description

As a volunteer fundraiser, you will help to build and develop relationships with different sectors of the community to create and develop new fundraising initiatives throughout Scotland. You will work alongside other volunteers to assist with can collections in public places or at organised fundraising events. You will be able to contribute to the fundraising strategy of the Butterfly Trust by suggesting new ideas and with the support of the Community Fundraiser, carry these ideas forward and make them happen. You will be asked to maintain accurate records of work and attend team meetings and conferences organised by The Trust.

Organisation aims and objectives

Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive, life limiting genetically inherited condition with 1 in 25 people carrying the faulty gene that causes the condition. There is currently no cure for Cystic Fibrosis. The Butterfly Trust is the leading provider of social support to the Cystic Fibrosis community of Scotland. We were founded in 2002 to provide face to face services for people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families. Our aim is that people living with Cystic Fibrosis will have access to the support they need to ensure they can benefit from optimum homecare and enjoy the best quality of life in the community.
