Description

We aim to provide a Befriending Service and Information and Advice to Older People who are isolated and alone. The Admin Support Volunteer would help to maintain records. The Special person would be responsible to the HOPE Co-ordinator.

Organisation aims and objectives

The aims of CLASP are the relief of poverty and advancement of education. The charity’s objectives are: To develop a community managed and run sustainable project in the Stevenston area but serving the North Ayrshire area. To encourage a more empowered, informed and socially active community through community capacity building and active citizenship training and activities. To support and facilitate individual and group activity on issues relating to social inclusion. To provide a local base for information, advice, assistance and resources on issues such as poverty, health, unemployment, money advice, literacies and local training opportunities in partnership with other voluntary and statutory organisations. To recruit and train local volunteers in the above activities offering, where possible, recognised accredited opportunities in partnership with training and education providers. Restrictions

Experience required: Ideally the special person will have some previous admin experience. Will be happy to become part of a busy team and will have a caring nature.
Travel details: The volunteer post will be based at the C.L.A.S.P. Project Office in Stevenston.
Minimum age: 18

Support

Expenses details: Travel Expenses can be paid on request.
Training details: An induction session will be followed with on the job training and any external training opportunities available. Regular individual and group support is planned.
