Wick Cancer Research charity shop are looking for volunteers to help in the shop. General retail, customer service, sorting donations preparing items for sale and making transactions, can you offer to help out for a few hours to support this charity raise funds for Cancer research?

General day to day duties include - sorting stock hanging and taging of stock serving customers cash handling housekeeping.

If you choose to join us as a retail volunteer you will gain a lot of valuable experience. You will learn about customer service first hand and gain experience in working a till. You will learn about stock, how to evaluate it, how to price it, how to display it, and how to sell it. You will also learn about how to work as part of a team and understand the retail experience from start to finish. Retail volunteers are highly regarded members of our team

We are a social enterprise dedicated to reinventing, reimagining and reusing unwanted and second-hand items into new furniture, clothes and gifts that are truly one-of-a-kind. We run a retail shop with small café area on Union Street and are looking for people to help with: retail support, taking photos of stock; cleaning & organising; serving in our cafe area; event planning; and other tasks as they arise. But most of all, you will enjoy welcoming people into the shop and helping them to find their new favourite piece. We hope that you will enjoy the social aspects of this role, as well as knowing that you are making a valuable contribution to our social enterprise which aims to empower individuals to lead fuller lives. You will volunteer alongside one of our staff team for anything from a couple of hours to a full day. We are currently open Tuesday to Saturday 10am-5pm.
