Description

The Active Schools Team works with primary and secondary aged children. Throughout the year we run a number of events such as Netball Festivals,Cross Countries, Dance Events, P6 Athletics and P7 Big School Games .
To help ensure the smooth running of these events we require volunteers to carry out a number of roles, from supervising children to marshalling events and even admin tasks. We will provide the necessary training and will utilise skills that volunteers already have.

Organisation aims and objectives

The aim of Active Schools is to offer all children and young people the opportunities and motivation to adopt active, healthy lifestyles, now and into adulthood. This is done by recruiting, supporting and sustaining a network of volunteers, coaches, leaders and teachers who in turn deliver physical activity and sport before, during and after school and in the wider community.
