Ochiltree Community Hub Servery volunteer: A warm welcome awaits you in our beautiful village coffee shop, and our friendly staff are always happy to help. Volunteer will support the kitchen and table service areas. Learning new skills with the barista coffee machine, working with money creating customer bills, organising servery area, replenishing cake stock. A great opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people.

Organisation aims and objectives

The Ochiltree Community Hub (OCH) improves the communities’ Health and Wellbeing, social inclusion and social capital through the communities willingness to help each other. Profit generated is re-invested in the facility and services supplied through building sustainability into all activity. Taking a community development approach to our activity. Listening to our community and valuing their knowledge, skills and experience, focusing on reducing inequalities and rural isolation in our community. The community is respected through their involvement in managing and operating the new facility. The community and the OCH have a common agenda, interests and collaborate by sharing ideas, information and their combined resources to further improve the wellbeing of the community. All OCH trustees are volunteer members of the local community.

Experience required: The role requires carrying trays with hot food so volunteer must be able to undertake this task
Travel details: Ochiltree Community Hub, Car park on site, number 42 bus service stops outside the facility.
Minimum age: 16

Support

Training details: Volunteers will have be given the opportunity to complete a food hygiene course and first aid training. Other training will be given specific to equipment and processes.
